Software Engineer

We are seeking a talented and motivated Software Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of our web services. As an Industrial Placement student, you will have the opportunity to work on a range of projects using Agile methodologies and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of engineers and scientists.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop high-quality software and web services using object-oriented programming languages such as Java, C#, or similar.
- Work on the entire software development lifecycle, from requirements collection to design, coding, testing, deployment, and support.
- Collaborate with the team to identify and prioritize project requirements and develop solutions that meet the needs of our users.
- Contribute to the development of our web services, including proposal management and scheduling experiments.
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled on an undergraduate degree course.
- Required or have requested to take an industrial placement year.
- Able to commence employment in summer 2024.
- A strong academic background with very good module grades at university so far.
- A good understanding of relational database theory and SQL.
- An awareness of software engineering principles, including testing and best practice.
