About the Role

The Director, Global Tax & Treasury at Optimizely leads the company's global tax compliance efforts, ensuring timely and accurate tax payments across the organization. This role oversees US federal, state, and local taxes, as well as foreign entity returns, in partnership with tax partners worldwide and supported by local controllership teams.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and deliver tax strategies to optimize the company's tax structure, including transfer pricing and intellectual property.
  2. Oversee treasury matters, including cash balance usage, working with FP&A and controllers to effectively manage and forecast cashflows and requirements.
  3. Lead a team responsible for developing and delivering policies, processes, short and long-term vision, strategy, and strategies to increase group efficiency, productivity, and impact.
  4. Manage experienced individual contributors and/or multiple managers, monitoring and ensuring budgets and schedules meet corporate requirements.
  5. Accountable for full employee life cycle, including hiring, onboarding, goal alignment, work assignment, coaching/performance management, developing managers, and addressing resource gaps.

Requirements

  1. 5+ years of leading a team in their field of expertise.
  2. Manages complex issues that require an in-depth knowledge of the company, industry, and/or function.
  3. Applies broad knowledge of all areas within function, interacting regularly with executives on strategic issues that impact the overall business.
  4. Influences senior-level leaders regarding matters of significance to the organization.
  5. Demonstrates ability to seamlessly adjust from detailed to strategic view.

Education and Competencies

Degree-level education, or equivalent experience in global tax-related roles. Acting Strategically, Delivering High Quality Work, Displaying Technical Expertise, Thinking Globally.
