Job Summary

The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust is seeking a Consultant Anaesthetist to provide additional cover for a new Vanguard Theatre. This is a fixed-term, 2-year consultant post.

The appointee will share the case-load, facilities, and trainee grade support with the existing consultants.

In conjunction with the existing consultants, the appointee will lead developments in anaesthetic services, particularly trauma anaesthesia within the Trust.

This post will be based at Princess Alexandra Hospital in Harlow and will be responsible for providing high-quality, responsive anaesthetic services and perioperative care to The Princess Alexandra Hospital.

Main Duties of the Job

The Locum post will be based at Princess Alexandra Hospital in Harlow and will be responsible for providing high-quality anaesthesia services to The Princess Alexandra Hospital.

Experience in Ophthalmology Anaesthesia is an advantage.

Essential

  • Full registration with the GMC with licence to practise
  • FRCA or equivalent/CCT (or equivalent) with entry on Specialist Register for Anaesthesia

  • A higher degree or equivalent MD, PhD
  • MSc/Diploma/PG certification in Perioperative medicine or equivalent Management/leadership qualification
