Job Description

Job Title: Casual Teaching Assistant

Job Type: Casual

Location: Braintree

Salary: £75 - £130 per day

Contract Type: Full-time

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Casual Teaching Assistant to join our team at GSL Education. As a Casual Teaching Assistant, you will have the opportunity to work across various classrooms and year groups, providing invaluable support to students and teachers alike.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers in delivering lessons and activities.
  • Support individual students or small groups in their learning, under the guidance of teaching staff.
  • Promote positive behavior and engagement within the classroom.
  • Provide support during examinations and assessments.
  • Help create resources and materials for lessons.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with secondary school students, ideally within an educational setting.
  • A proactive and flexible approach to supporting teaching and learning.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to build rapport with students.
