Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in a local school in the Braintree area.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide support to pupils with special educational needs, working closely with teachers and other support staff to ensure the best possible outcomes for our students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support to pupils with SEN, adapting to their unique needs and abilities
  • Assist teachers with lesson planning, preparation, and delivery, ensuring a smooth and effective learning environment
  • Support pupils with daily living skills, such as personal care and mobility
  • Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and other professionals to ensure a collaborative approach to supporting pupils
Requirements:
  • GCSE English and Maths grade 'C' or equivalent
  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a related role
  • Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or willingness to process a new application
  • Two professional child-related references
