About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Music Educator to join our team at Phoenix Learning & Care Group. As a Music Teacher - SEN Specialist, you will play a vital role in delivering music education to neurodiverse children and young people, fostering creativity, self-expression, and building a love of music within the class.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver music education in a way that is accessible for all, adapting to the needs, skills, and interests of each pupil.
  • Work closely with pupils to keep them engaged, motivated, and inspired to reach their full potential.
  • Monitor and record progress, both academically and against EHCP outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Teaching Assistants to direct them in effectively supporting the pupils.
  • Lead classroom activities, including planning, teaching, and assessing learning, particularly with 'your' class.

Requirements:

  • Patience, compassion, and resilience when working with neurodiverse pupils.
  • A genuine interest in a career focused on the education of people with a wide range of needs.
  • A driving license (as we have cars for outings).
