Job Overview

Step Teachers is seeking a highly motivated and organized Education Support Specialist to join our team as a Secondary School Cover Supervisor. As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in supporting the academic progress and personal development of our students, while ensuring the smooth operation of the school through cover supervision duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality education and maintain a positive learning environment.
  • Work closely with students, teachers, and senior leadership to contribute to the development of schemes of work, resources, and assessment materials.
  • Uphold the school's behaviour management policies and intervene as necessary to address any disruptions or issues that arise during cover supervision.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and other school events as required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree obtained within the last 5 years or at least 6 months of experience within the UK at a Secondary school as a Cover supervisor that can be referenced.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and motivate students.
  • A proactive and adaptable approach to working in a fast-paced educational environment.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to take on cover supervision duties as required.
