We are seeking a highly skilled Contract Negotiator to join our team at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Contract Negotiator to play a key role in developing and delivering analytical support to assist in the management of the Trust's contracts with Clinical Commissioning Groups, NHS England, Local Authority Commissioners, and Prime Contractors.

The successful candidate will bring analytical expertise to the management of the Trust's contracting process, build relationships with both Commissioners and their Agents, and provide advice on matters of tariff to the Trust's Divisional Managers, Project Management Office, and other internal stakeholders.

As part of Continuing Professional development, the post-holder will also be expected to take an active interest in the development of his/her skills, experience, and career.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing and delivering analytical support to the Contracts team to assist in the management of the Trust's contract portfolio, including CCG, NHS England, Prime Contracts, and Local Authority contracts for services.
  • Managing the monthly challenge process to coordinate the Trust's response to income challenges within the national timeframe, liaising with the Data Quality team, Information and Operational teams to resolve monthly income challenges.
  • Providing analytical support to the Contracts team regarding the investigation of and response to Activity Query Notices and Contract Performance Notices.
  • Maintaining awareness of changes to national and local commissioning policy, providing robust advice to Divisional Managers to improve compliance with commissioning policy (e.g. treatment access policy and EBI).
