Job Summary:

Nuffield Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Theatre Practitioner to lead our Orthopaedic and Neuro/Spinal Theatre Team. As a Senior Theatre Practitioner - Team Leader, you will be responsible for providing clinical and technical assistance, managing labour and costs, improving communication between Consultants and the Theatre team, and promoting best practice and quality improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of theatre practitioners and support staff.
  • Provide skilled clinical and technical assistance as a member of the Operating Theatre Team.
  • Assist with managing labour and costs associated with theatre operations.
  • Improve communication between Consultants and the Theatre team to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote best practice and quality improvements in theatre operations.
  • Manage and control costs associated with theatre operations.
  • Conduct staff performance reviews and provide feedback and coaching to support staff development.

Requirements:

  • Registered Practitioner with NMC or HCPC registration.
  • Minimum of 2 years in a senior post with experience in leading a theatre team.
  • Demonstrable leadership skills and experience in managing theatre operations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Immediate Life Support provider.
  • Mentorship qualification.
