We are seeking a highly skilled Flood Risk Consultant to join our Water and Environment North team at Waterman Aspen. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing expert advice on flood risk management and planning standards.

Our ideal candidate will have a relevant degree qualification in Civil Engineering, geography, or equivalent, and be a Chartered Member or working towards chartered membership of a professional institution such as CIWEM, ICE, APM, etc.

You will have experience in developing business cases for flood risk management schemes and be technically competent in fundamental hydraulic design principles. Additionally, you will have knowledge of hydraulic modelling software such as Flood Modeller TUFLOW or drainage modelling software like MicroDrainage or Causeway Flow.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement flood risk management strategies for our clients
  • Provide expert advice on flood risk planning standards and legislation
  • Work with public sector clients such as LLFA's and/or EA to deliver flood risk management projects
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop business cases for flood risk management schemes
