Job Title: Drainage and Flood Risk Engineer

Carrington West is seeking a skilled Drainage and Flood Risk Engineer to join our team in Leeds. As a key member of our Civils & Infrastructure team, you will play a crucial role in delivering flood risk and drainage projects from concept to construction.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct flood risk assessments and develop flood alleviation schemes
  2. Design and implement surface water management systems, including SUDS, swales, and soakaways
  3. Work with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects efficiently and effectively
  4. Develop Natural Flood Management solutions and work with clients to implement them
  5. Collaborate with hydraulic modellers, engineers, and environmental consultants to deliver projects
Requirements:
  1. Proven experience in flood risk and drainage engineering
  2. Strong understanding of the NPPF and its application in flood risk management
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  5. Proficiency in IT systems such as ArcGIS, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D
  6. Education to degree level or equivalent in a relevant field
