Job Title: E-Learning Specialist

Are you passionate about helping students achieve their academic goals? Randstad Student Support is seeking experienced Study Skills Mentors to provide one-on-one support to students with specific learning difficulties (SpLDs) at colleges and universities in Aberdeen.

This hybrid role offers a unique opportunity to work with students in person and online, providing flexible support to meet their needs. As a Study Skills Mentor, you will work closely with students to develop their independence, build on their strengths, and create strategies for organization and time management.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement personalized learning plans to support students' academic goals
  2. Provide one-on-one support to students with specific learning difficulties (SpLDs)
  3. Collaborate with students to identify areas of strength and weakness, and develop strategies to address these
  4. Assist students in creating action plans to stay on track with their studies
  5. Support students in developing research skills, including finding and using credible sources
  6. Help students build comprehension skills in reading and writing

Requirements:

  1. Experience working with clients with specific learning difficulties
  2. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  3. Ability to identify ways to help students build on their learning strengths while maintaining a confidential and professional working relationship
  4. Punctuality and reliability
  5. Good organizational skills
  6. Relevant professional body memberships
  7. Ability to manage a caseload of students
