About the Role

Prospero Teaching is seeking a talented and motivated teaching professional to join our team as a GCSE Tutor. This is an excellent opportunity to work with students who require additional support in achieving their GCSE qualifications, and to make a real difference in their lives.

The successful applicant will be responsible for providing high-quality tuition to students who are struggling to meet their age-related expectations, as well as experience in supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

A strong understanding of the UK education system, particularly in relation to GCSEs and Functional Skills qualifications, is essential. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working with students who are disengaged or have SEND, and be able to demonstrate a creative and patient approach to teaching and learning.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide one-to-one support to students who require additional guidance in achieving their GCSE qualifications
• Develop and implement personalized learning plans to meet the needs of individual students
• Work closely with teachers and other support staff to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to student support
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and development
Estimated Salary: £25-£35 per hour, dependent on experience and qualifications.

Requirements

  • QTS, PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Experience working with students who are disengaged or have SEND
  • Strong understanding of the UK education system, particularly in relation to GCSEs and Functional Skills qualifications
  • Ability to work flexibly, up to 15 hours per week
