We are seeking 2 Direct Payment Workers to support a 10-year-old boy with cerebral palsy, epilepsy, and learning difficulties. Sessions will be on a 1:1 basis, requiring carers to assist with personal care and provide companionship.
The boy enjoys music, performing, and new experiences. His interests include swimming, parks, water play, group activities, trains, and days at the coast. We require workers who have experience with children with complex needs and are approachable and confident.
Access to a car is essential for transporting the child and attending sessions. Workers must be flexible and able to adapt to the child's feelings, committing to long-term work. The family is open to discussing the role and may suit two friends/colleagues who can enjoy outings with the energetic and fun-loving child.
While caring experience is beneficial, a person-centred approach and the right attitude are more important. Travel across East Riding of Yorkshire may be required, and applicants must be able to transport themselves. This post is subject to an enhanced DBS clearance check.

The salary for this position is £22,000-£25,000 per annum, depending on experience.
