### Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Mortgage Underwriter to join our team at Jems Recruitment Ltd. As a key member of our expanding team, you will be responsible for underwriting and approving a pipeline of mortgage and loan cases from application to completion.

### Key Responsibilities

* Underwrite cases and consider customer needs
* Assess loan documentation, request additional information, and chase information from third parties
* Carry out checks and assess loan suitability
* Manage a pipeline of mortgage applications
* Work within company risk appetite, policy, and criteria
* Liaise with various third parties, including solicitors and valuers
* Oversee cases through to offer and completion
* Adhere to internal underwriting policy and regulatory requirements, including FCA, Money Laundering, and Data Protection
