As a Maintenance Team Associate, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the care home remains functional and our residents have a safe and comfortable environment. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out routine maintenance and repair tasks to a high standard, minimizing disruption to residents and visitors.
  • Contributing to the management of the maintenance budget and taking the lead as necessary.
  • Performing ad-hoc internal decoration of accessible areas, maintaining a high standard of finish.
  • Reporting unrepairable defects to management and escalating or seeking specialist repair when required.
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety checks, policies, and guidelines at all times.
  • Working on call as needed to support the care home outside of hours.

What You'll Need:

To be successful in this role, you'll hold a building, electrical, or plumbing qualification or have a minimum of 3 years' experience in property maintenance or general repairs. Previous experience in a site management role and managing consultants, contractors, and contracted suppliers would be advantageous. You'll possess a good understanding of building services, including heating, hot and cold-water distribution, ventilation, electrical distribution, and plumbing. A full driving licence is also essential for this role.
