Job Overview

Our client, a family-run and growing SME manufacturing company based in the UK, is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join their Senior Leadership Team on a full-time permanent basis.

This pivotal role will support business growth and strategic goals by providing expert financial leadership and guidance.

The ideal candidate will possess significant experience in finance, preferably in the manufacturing or FMCG industries, and be skilled in leading financial teams and driving process improvements.


Salary & Benefits

On offer is a highly competitive salary of up to £70,000 per annum depending on experience, plus an equity share and various other benefits.


Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the finance team, driving financial reporting, systems, processes, and controls.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies to support business growth and achieve strategic goals.
  • Conduct detailed margin analysis, focusing on project profitability from initial estimates to final outcomes.
  • Provide weekly forecasts on key metrics to inform decision-making and drive financial performance.
  • Oversee transactional processing, maintain financial controls, and ensure compliance with VAT, payroll, and tax regulations.

Requirements & Qualifications

A formal accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) is desirable but not essential. The client is willing to consider applications for Qualified By Experience Accountants with significant experience in the manufacturing, FMCG, or construction industries.
