Marine Ecologist Technical Director

We are seeking a highly skilled Marine Ecologist Lead to join our dynamic Nature team in AECOM. As a key member of our team, you will lead our marine ecologists and work closely with our marine EIA colleagues to build and develop the marine ecology team and grow our portfolio of high-profile marine projects.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing, growing, and developing the marine ecology team, providing technical marine ecological and marine consenting advice internally and externally. You will also ensure that our deliverables are produced to the highest quality standards and compliance with our rigorous quality management procedures.
As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will improve the environmental outcomes of our projects, including specialists in underwater acoustics, coastal processes, water scientists, and marine archaeologists. You will effectively manage resources and budgets, report on progress internally and to clients, and mentor and develop junior team members.
