We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Ecologist Specialist to join our Planning & Environmental team in Belfast. The successful candidate will work on a wide range of projects, from small-scale housing developments to major road schemes and infrastructure projects.

The ideal candidate will have a degree-level qualification in an ecological related subject and relevant work experience beyond academic study. They will be able to interpret construction/design plans and drawings, understand how they manifest physically, and work on their own initiative under pressure.

As an Ecologist Specialist at RPS Group, you will have the opportunity to work on interesting and challenging projects, develop your skills and expertise, and contribute to the delivery of high-quality services to our clients. You will also have the chance to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment with a diverse team of professionals.

In this role, you will be responsible for writing and reporting findings, communicating effectively with the team and clients, liaising with other members of the RPS Planning & Environmental Team, supporting the Director in business development activities, and inputting into the production of reports for planning applications and marine license applications or equivalent.

You will also be involved in field visits and surveys, research and analysis, community and stakeholder consultation, and assisting towards the coordination of multi-disciplinary project teams. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge through training and professional development programs offered by RPS Group.
