About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and passionate Music Metadata Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the accuracy and consistency of music metadata across our vast catalog. Your expertise will contribute to the smooth functioning of our operations and enhance the listening experience for music fans worldwide.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain accurate music metadata within our systems, utilizing tools such as Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure data integrity and consistency across various platforms.
  • Develop and implement best practices for metadata management within the music industry context.
  • Stay informed about industry standards and emerging trends in music metadata.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience working with music metadata, ideally within a recording label or music technology company.
  • Strong understanding of metadata schemas and standards relevant to the music industry.
  • Proficiency in spreadsheet software (Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets) and database management systems.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge or experience in the neighboring rights industry and/or recording music industry.
  • Demonstrated track record of consistent and high-quality delivery in a music metadata management environment.
  • Experience managing metadata-related projects.
