About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at the Assessment and Treatment Unit for adults with learning disabilities in Macclesfield.

As a Staff Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to individuals with complex needs, working within a multi-professional framework and under the supervision of the Manager/Deputy Manager.

The successful candidate will have experience of working with adults with learning disabilities in an inpatient setting, and will be able to demonstrate a positive attitude towards people with learning disabilities.

You will be expected to take charge of the shift and offer management supervision sessions to Clinical Support Workers, as well as participate in quality initiatives and contribute to the development of evidenced-based practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality care to individuals with complex needs
  • Work within a multi-professional framework and under the supervision of the Manager/Deputy Manager
  • Take charge of the shift and offer management supervision sessions to Clinical Support Workers
  • Participate in quality initiatives and contribute to the development of evidenced-based practice
  • Develop and maintain relationships with service users, families, and carers
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse qualification and registration with the NMC
  • Experience of working with adults with learning disabilities in an inpatient setting
  • Positive attitude towards people with learning disabilities
  • Ability to work within a multi-professional framework and under the supervision of the Manager/Deputy Manager
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
