Senior Estimator

J3A Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimator to join our client's Water South Business Unit in Exeter. As a key member of the bid team, you will utilize your construction knowledge and commercial insight to secure profitable projects in the water industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the bid team to develop and implement effective estimating strategies
- Manage risk throughout the tender period, preparing a comprehensive tender risk register
- Present tenders to senior management, highlighting any significant risks
- Prepare material and subcontractor inquiries, selecting prospective partners
- Attend strategy meetings and site visits to identify risks
- Compare and adjudicate subcontractor quotations
Requirements:
- Degree in Construction or related field
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Extensive experience with analytical estimating, including projects up to £25m
- Familiarity with various contract types (design & build, traditional, partnering, frameworks)
- Experience using estimating software
- Skilled in cost planning and risk management
