Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Relief Security Officer to join our team at ICTS Europe. As a Relief Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of people and premises at a large, busy hospital Trust in Epsom and Carshalton.

Key Responsibilities

  • Patrol the buildings to deter and detect potential security threats
  • Attend and manage emergencies, including fire evacuation, conflict management, and physical intervention
  • Work closely with client representatives, customers, and colleagues to resolve queries and provide excellent customer service
  • Manage access control for employees, visitors, patients, and contractors
  • Identify and report Health & Safety issues and provide first aid if necessary
  • Maintain records, including incident reports and daily occurrence logs, using computer-based systems
  • Investigate and write detailed reports on incidents, liaising with police and other third parties as necessary

Requirements

  • Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
  • Dynamic and interactive skills to engage with the public
  • Experience in a customer-facing role, ideally in security

Person Specification

  • 5-year checkable background
  • Document and Share-Code to prove eligibility to work within the UK, if applicable
  • Ability to pass a criminal record check (CRC) to the required standard
  • Excellent command of English – both oral and written
  • SIA license - Door Supervisor or Close Protection required
  • Previous experience in hospital security or similar
  • SIA CCTV Licence is not essential but would be beneficial
