Job Summary

Bradfield College Careers is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to lead our Grounds Maintenance team. As the Head of Grounds, you will be responsible for maintaining, conserving, and enhancing the sports facilities and grounds at the College.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement seasonal and weather-dependent schedules of work, including snow clearance and salting paths and roads.
  • Oversee the provision of sports surfaces and the setting-up and dismantling of sports equipment.
  • Ensure the team adheres to health and safety protocols and promote a positive culture towards it.
  • Manage a team of grounds maintenance staff and provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure the College's sports facilities and grounds meet the highest standards.

Requirements

  • Hold a GMA Level 4 qualification or equivalent.
  • Have a full UK driving licence with trailer entitlement.
  • Have extensive knowledge of sports turf management and previous experience in grounds management.
  • Be able to work independently and as part of a team.

Working Hours

The role is full-time, averaging 40 hours per week, with a summer and winter work schedule.
