About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Deputy Commercial Content Editor to join our content commerce team at Bauer Media Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for generating and curating ideas and content that aligns with our business goals and SEO strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and develop members of the digital editorial team, including setting and monitoring team KPIs, attending regular 121 meetings, and mentoring junior writers.
  • Support the editor in creating, planning, and implementing the content strategy, drawing on expertise from around the business to ensure the subjects we cover are relevant and topical.
  • Assist the editor in managing freelance staff and contributors.
  • Research, plan, and write comprehensive product tests and buying guides according to editorial guidelines and in line with current SEO standards.
  • Create accompanying photographic material to provide our users with the best offers tailored to their needs.
  • Customise content for various digital platforms, including email, considering the unique requirements and best practices for each.
  • Attend relevant press events and product launches and support sales events like Prime Day and Black Friday.

  • Extensive background in writing news articles, features, product tests, and reviews.
  • Familiarity with content KPIs to evaluate performance.
  • Experience in people management with a collaborative mindset.
  • Strong analytical skills to drive and improve content performance.
  • Exceptional writing and communication skills.
  • Able to create clear and well-presented photography to support articles and appear in content if needed.
  • Excellent time management, prioritisation, and organisational skills with a hands-on approach.
