Job Title: Deputy Commercial Content Editor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Commercial Content Editor to join our content commerce team at Bauer Media Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for generating and curating ideas and content that align with our business goals and SEO strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement content strategies that drive engagement and revenue growth
  • Collaborate with the content commerce editor to manage and develop the digital editorial team, including setting and monitoring team KPIs
  • Manage the day-to-day running of the website and team in the commercial content editor's absence
  • Support the editor in creating, planning, and implementing the content strategy, drawing on expertise from around the business
  • Assist the editor in managing freelance staff and contributors
  • Research, plan, and write comprehensive product tests and buying guides according to editorial guidelines and SEO standards
  • Customise content for various digital platforms, including email, considering the unique requirements and best practices for each
  • Attend relevant press events and product launches, and support sales events like Prime Day and Black Friday
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in content creation and management, with a strong understanding of SEO principles
  • Excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to craft engaging and accessible content
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate content performance and drive improvement
  • Experience in people management, with a collaborative mindset and ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Strong knowledge of current home and lifestyle trends and consumer interests
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of organisation and time management
