The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering projects and business change initiatives across the Council, working closely with Project Managers and senior managers within the Finance section.

As a Business Analyst, you will be responsible for assisting in delivering projects and service improvement initiatives, providing administration support to senior managers, and contributing to personal and professional development opportunities.

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with good analytical skills, ability to assess problems from multiple angles, comfortable working with various forms of data, and an interest in change and improvement in a business setting.

The ideal candidate will have some experience of undertaking research and analysis, both independently and as part of a team, and an aptitude for problem solving. You will also have good communication and writing skills, able to present information clearly and effectively for a range of different audiences.

A good level of ICT competency, specifically with Microsoft Office, is required for this role. The successful candidate will have experience in reviewing business processes, producing and presenting statistical business information to facilitate service improvement, and developing, appraising, and recommending options for business improvement.
