Senior Commercial Finance Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Commercial Finance Manager to join our finance team at The Very Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving business performance and improving profitability across our Retail division.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide financial insight and commercial acumen to drive growth, optimise cost, and support decision-making at the executive level.
- Lead trading conversations with Senior Commercial Managers and Directors, ensuring effective collaboration and open communication.
- Support and challenge the non-finance leadership team, providing financial expertise and guidance to inform strategic decisions.
- Drive the trading agenda by reviewing trading activity to understand its commercial outcomes and customer impacts.
- Review pricing and promotional offers to maximise performance and improve profitability.
- Prepare budget and forecasting information, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of financial plans.
- Manage and control risks and opportunities, ensuring the finance team is aligned with business objectives.
- Develop relationships at all levels to enable open communication across finance and drive effective team outcomes.
- Contribute to the wider finance team beyond role scope, seeking opportunities to add value and improve processes.
