Job Opportunity: Qualified Social Worker

Randstad Care is seeking a qualified and experienced Children's Social Worker to join Tameside Local Authority's Early Help Team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the leadership and management team in delivering high-quality services to children and families.
  • Provide oversight for Early Help referrals received through the Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) and the Team Around the Setting (TAS).
  • Make decisions based on the Tameside Threshold of Need document to ensure positive outcomes for children, young people, and families.
  • Supervise Early Help Advisers and manage their caseloads, ensuring adherence to timescales and performance indicators.
  • Quality assure decisions made by Early Help Advisers in line with thresholds.
  • Identify trends, conduct audits, and collect data to enhance service development and training needs.
  • Work closely with partner agencies, including schools, health, social care, police, and voluntary sector organizations.
  • Support step up/step down processes with Targeted Family Help to ensure appropriate services are in place.
  • Contribute to the continued development of the Early Help service.

Requirements:

  • Social Work Degree or equivalent.
  • Social Work England registration.
  • Enhanced DBS.
