Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join our client's successful electrical engineering team in Leeds. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing designs and specifications for control systems, coordinating site and application engineering resources, and ensuring effective interfacing between design, production, and installation teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement designs and specifications for control systems across the portfolio of products available.
- Coordinate site, application, and design engineering resources to meet project technical requirements.
- Ensure effective interfacing between design, production, procurement, and installation teams to optimize project costs and implementation.
- Develop a working understanding of applicable industry standards.
- Manage technical content of projects with respect to cost, quality, contract documentation, and specifications.
- Attend customer sites and liaise with customer engineering representatives as required.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, the successful candidate will have a degree in Electrical Engineering or a comparable qualification, with at least 5 years of experience in electrical design work gained in an engineering or manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive design engineering experience, proven project management awareness, excellent communication skills, and comprehensive skills in the use of AutoCad Electrical 2020 or equivalent.
