We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cargo Handler to join our team at Reed. As a Cargo Handler, you will be responsible for the efficient handling of cargo, ensuring safety and compliance with company policies.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a pressurized environment and can work flexible hours.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Loading and Unloading: Load and offload freight manually or mechanically, following handling procedures.
  • Storage and Retrieval: Accurately place and retrieve freight in and from storage areas, recording locations as necessary.
  • Housekeeping and Security: Conduct bond checks and perform housekeeping duties to meet customer requirements.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and protect company or customer property and equipment, reporting any issues immediately.
  • Health and Safety: Adhere to the Company Health & Safety policy and Security Regulations.
  • Company Procedures: Comply with Company handling procedures and implement policies as directed in the Company Handbook.
Requirements:
  • Communication Skills: Good people skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
  • Pressurized Environment: Capable of working within a pressurized environment.
  • Flexibility: Availability to work flexible hours at short notice.
  • Initiative: Ability to work on own initiative.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Fork Lift Licence is essential, Certificate Level CO essential.
