Linguistic Quality Assurance Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Japanese Games Tester Specialist to join our team at Universally Speaking.

As a key member of our Localization Quality Assurance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the linguistic accuracy and cultural suitability of video games and applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough testing of in-game text for linguistic accuracy and cultural relevance
  • Identify and report linguistic bugs using industry-standard bug databases
  • Collaborate with developers to ensure that localization quality is effectively tested and supported
  • Develop and execute test cases throughout the project life cycle
  • Participate in test requirement gathering to ensure that localization QA effectively supports all project features

Requirements:

  • Expert-level proficiency in Japanese
  • Strong written and spoken English skills
  • Passion for video games and commitment to quality
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
