About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated National Procurement Assistant to join our team at Aldi. As a key member of our procurement function, you will play a critical role in delivering our business' procurement strategy and driving cost savings across our operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support category analysis to identify and deliver cost savings, efficiencies, and improvements in the supply base
  • Deliver the end-to-end tender process, including stakeholder engagement, specification creation, supply market research, tender build, and commercial negotiations
  • Proactively interrogate spend data to identify cost reduction opportunities and negotiate contractual terms and conditions
  • Implement Supplier Relationship and Contract Management practices with our strategic partners
  • Assist in the development of category strategies with the National Procurement Manager
About You
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills, with a proven ability to build stakeholder and supplier relationships
  • Excellent written, analytical, and presenting skills, with high attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Proficient in Data Analytics and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong experience in a professional function, with a proven record of delivering savings from sourcing activity
What We Offer
  • Salary £36,080 to £42,135 (dependent on experience)
  • Monday to Friday, 8am to 4:30pm, with the opportunity of 2 days a week remote working
