AVP - Credit Policy & Governance Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled AVP - Credit Policy & Governance professional to join our team at Centre People Appointments. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the process of producing key risk indicators, credit KPIs, and other management information reports.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage the production of EMEA KRI, CD KPI, and other management information reports
  • Guide and train junior team members
  • Provide practical solutions to staff on applying the bank's credit policy and rules
  • Assess and challenge management framework and reporting processes
  • Conduct root cause analyses and recommend improvements
  • Manage system change projects to fix/improve TMS, DDT, SC database, GBR, EIC, and Credit Application Tracking system
  • Ensure adequate written policies and procedures are in place
  • Take ownership of timely remediation of findings
  • Provide training to risk functions on credit risk management framework
  • Work in partnership with enabling functions to ensure controls are adequately identified and monitored

Requirements:

  • Good understanding of credit risk policy, rules, and procedures
  • Relevant experience in the financial industry with a mature operational risk process
  • Excellent team worker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Business level of fluency in English and Japanese
  • Excellent knowledge and experience in using big data on Excel, Access, and/or RDB
