About this role

We are seeking a skilled Bar & Food Service Team Member to join our team at Allkin Brewing Tap & Bottle.

Main responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the bar, ensuring smooth and efficient service to our customers.
  • Manage and train a team of bartenders and servers, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent customer service.
  • Create and update drink menus, offering a wide variety of options to cater to different tastes and preferences.
  • Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to maintain a fully stocked bar.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for our customers.
  • Handle customer complaints and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe working environment for our team.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food and beverage service, ensuring seamless execution of our menu items.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a high-volume establishment.
  • Strong knowledge of craft beer or eagerness to learn and expand your skills.
  • Experience in team management and supervision, with a proven track record of success.
  • Knowledge of food production and food safety standards, with a focus on maintaining a high level of quality.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on hospitality and providing an exceptional experience for our customers.
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations and maintain composure, even in the most challenging environments.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team to achieve their best.
