About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and ambitious Environmental Health professional to join our team as a Team Manager. As a key member of our Joint Environmental Health Service, you will lead a team of officers delivering support to our most vulnerable residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support a team of officers delivering frontline services, including disabled facilities grants, affordable warmth and energy advice, and community outreach services.
  • Manage appraisals, training, disciplinary issues, setting of targets and objectives, and monitoring performance.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to shape and contribute to high-quality service delivery across Bolsover and North East Derbyshire.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve service delivery and achieve business objectives.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in team management and leadership, preferably in a local government or public health setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and support staff.
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
