About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Engineering Geologist to join our team of ground investigation consultants. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting with site walkovers, carrying out site/ground investigations, and preparing phase plans and carrying out phase 1 Desk Studies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with site walkovers to identify potential geological hazards.
- Carry out site/ground investigations to gather data on soil and rock conditions.
- Prepare phase plans and carry out phase 1 Desk Studies to inform project decisions.
- Write factual and interpretive reports to communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Work on in situ testing to gather data on soil and rock properties.
- Observe day-to-day tasks to develop geo-environmental and geotechnical knowledge.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need a minimum of a BSc in geology, engineering geology, geoscience, environmental science or a relevant subject (MSc preferable). You must also have some experience in the ground investigation industry and be keen to learn and develop geo-environmental/geotechnical skills.
