Geotechnical Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Geotechnical Specialist to join our team of ground investigation consultants. As a Geotechnical Specialist, you will be responsible for assisting with site walkovers, carrying out site/ground investigations, and preparing phase plans and carrying out phase 1 Desk Studies.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist with site walkovers to identify potential geotechnical hazards.
  2. Carry out site/ground investigations to gather data on soil and rock conditions.
  3. Prepare phase plans and carry out phase 1 Desk Studies to inform project decisions.
  4. Write factual and interpretive reports to communicate findings to stakeholders.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need a minimum of a BSc in geology, engineering geology, geoscience, environmental science or a relevant subject (MSc preferable), and some experience in the ground investigation industry. You must be keen to learn and develop geo-environmental/geotechnical skills and have the ability to show enthusiasm for working outdoors in a hands-on role. Candidates must hold a full UK driving licence, live commutable to Slough and the surrounding area, and have a full right to work in the UK.
