Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at AWE Plc. As a key member of our manufacturing engineering team, you will play a vital role in designing and implementing innovative solutions to drive continuous improvement in our manufacturing processes.

With a strong background in manufacturing engineering and a passion for process improvement, you will work closely with our design teams, technical experts, and operations team to identify opportunities for improvement and develop effective solutions.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to build strong relationships with stakeholders, and possess a strong understanding of lean manufacturing techniques, statistical process control, and quality tools.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. As a key contributor to our manufacturing engineering team, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to drive efficiency and effectiveness in our manufacturing processes.
  • Working closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improvement and develop effective solutions.
  • Collaborating with our design teams, technical experts, and operations team to ensure seamless integration of new processes and systems.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong background in manufacturing engineering, including experience working in a manufacturing or operational environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques, statistical process control, and quality tools.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Proven experience of driving and managing improvements through to completion, using the Plan, Do, Check, Act approach.
