Job Title: Chief Engineer

Mama Shelter London is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel's facilities and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the maintenance of the hotel's facilities and equipment, including budgeting and stock control.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures and policies, and assist with risk assessments.
  • Manage the onsite activity of contractors and order maintenance supplies.
  • Maintain records of machinery and equipment, including manufacturers' details and manuals.
  • Ensure fire safety equipment is maintained and tested regularly.
  • Coordinate quotations from suppliers for maintenance work.
  • Lead and manage a team of engineers, setting goals and monitoring performance.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and procedures.
  • Participate in the hotel's crisis and fire teams.
  • Project manage changes to policies and procedures.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years' experience in building management and MEP.
  • Experience of managing projects from start to finish, including budgets.
  • Passion for developing and motivating team members.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and think creatively.
  • Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing circumstances.
