Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Security Warden Supervisor to join our team at First Military Recruitment Ltd. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in security management and excellent leadership skills.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the activities of the Warden team during assigned shifts, ensuring the smooth operation and adherence to security and emergency response protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with staff rotas and arrange cover when necessary.
  • Plan workloads, allocate tasks, and monitor progress against targets.
  • Organise work schedules and implement deadlines.
  • Be the first point of contact when a management issue arises during a shift.
  • Review the Daily Occurrence Book and take follow-up actions where necessary.
  • Supervise the hand-over to the next shift.
  • Attend weekly managers' meetings and follow up on actions as required.
  • Brief teams on new initiatives, changes, and relevant news.
  • Recruit, train, and help staff reach their professional development goals.
  • Maintain quality standards, protocols, and procedures consistently across all team members on shifts.
  • Keep up-to-date records at the Gatehouse, including information folders, key watcher admin, key audits, and key lists.
  • Show advanced knowledge of surveillance systems, alarms, and access control systems to deter and detect potential threats.
  • Handle CCTV subject access requests and review playback according to GDPR and Data Protection Legislation.
  • Undertake daily gate takings, ensuring all monies, tickets, credit card transactions are accounted for and securely processed and banked.
  • Train and mentor new personnel to ensure they are prepared for assigned duties.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as facilities management and external contractors, to address security concerns and implement measures.

Requirements:

  • Hold an SIA Licence.
  • Lead by example and inspire others, demonstrating line management skills.
  • Demonstrate discretion and diligence in maintaining confidentiality.
  • Possess strong knowledge of security protocols, procedures, and emergency response techniques.
  • Apply a solution-focused approach to problems encountered.
  • Exhibit excellent observation, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Remain calm and make quick decisions during high-pressure situations.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders, showcasing interpersonal skills.
  • Operate surveillance systems, alarms, and access control systems proficiently.
  • Confidently handle phone, email, and face-to-face customer inquiries, displaying a positive and polite attitude.
