Clinical Technician Supervisors play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of dispensary services at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust. As a Clinical Technician Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of pharmacy technicians and other support staff, overseeing the dispensary service, and contributing to the implementation of strategy changes.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Team Leader for dispensary services with the planning, development, and delivery of the dispensary service across the trust, ensuring compliance with medicines legislation, professional, local, and national guidelines.

Main duties of the job:

  • Lead and manage the dispensary team, including pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, pre-registration trainee pharmacy technicians, trainee pharmacists, and support workers.
  • Collaborate with the Team Leader for dispensary services to implement agreed strategy changes and deliver the dispensary service across the trust.
  • Develop and maintain policies and procedures for the dispensary service, ensuring compliance with trust policies and external regulations.
  • Oversee stock management and financial control of costs within the dispensary service, ensuring efficient use of resources and minimal waste.
  • Support the Team Leader for dispensary services to manage the day-to-day running of the dispensary service and rotas.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will possess significant NHS hospital pharmacy experience, accredited checking pharmacy technician (ACPT) qualification, and line management training or equivalent experience. A competitive salary, ranging between £55,000-£70,000 per annum, is offered, along with excellent benefits.
