**Project Cost Accountant**
We are seeking a highly skilled Project Cost Accountant to join our team at Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited. As a Project Cost Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and producing the orderbook, forecasting revenue, and reviewing the WIP and Accrued Revenue schedule.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain and Produce the Orderbook: Update the orderbook files with 'Year-to-Date' values for revenue and cost of sales, and add new projects that have been entered onto Project Accounting since the previous period.
- Forecast Revenue: Using the updated Orderbook, provide a revenue forecast for both capital works projects and service and maintenance contracts.
- Review WIP and Accrued Revenue Schedule: Identify exceptions and investigate discrepancies in the WIP and Accrued Revenue schedule.
- Liaise with Operations: Work with the Operations team to investigate exceptions and recommend financial adjustments where projects fall outside of budget.
- Assist with Ledger Journals and MI: Assist with ledger journals, accruals, prepayments, and the production of management information.
- Experience in Project Accounting: Proven experience in project accounting, with a strong understanding of financial management and analysis.
- Financial Analysis Skills: Strong financial analysis skills, with the ability to maintain and produce accurate financial reports.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with the Operations team and other stakeholders.
- Competitive Salary: A competitive salary of £40,000-£45,000 dependent on experience.
