Harbourne Associates is seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to manage the financial aspects of key projects in the utilities sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and managing cost estimates and project budgets.
  • Conducting detailed cost analysis and risk assessments throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Measuring, valuing, and negotiating contract variations.
  • Assisting in procurement, including the selection of contractors and suppliers.
  • Preparing tender documents, contracts, bills of quantities, and other relevant documentation.
  • Monitoring project progress and providing financial reporting to senior management.
  • Negotiating contracts and managing client relationships.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Conducting post-completion audits and final accounts for completed projects.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably in the utilities sector.
  • Strong knowledge of NEC or JCT contracts.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • A full UK driving licence.

Benefits:

  • Circa £60,000 per annum (Negotiable)

  • 28 days annual leave, rising to 33 days (including bank holidays).
