About the Role

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounts Assistant to join our client's team in North Shields. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in transactional finance and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Processing invoices and managing accounts payable/receivable.
  2. Reconciling bank statements and managing general ledger entries.
  3. Supporting month-end and year-end financial processes.
  4. Assisting with payroll and other administrative duties as needed.
  5. Providing support to the finance team and contributing to ongoing process improvements.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. Previous experience in a similar role and strong knowledge of transactional finance.
  2. Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
  3. Proficient in using accounting software and Excel.
  4. A team player with strong communication skills.
  5. Ability to commute to North Shields 5 days a week.
