Job Summary


We are seeking an experienced Lead Financial Accountant to join our finance team at Hays Senior Finance. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for preparing and reviewing financial statements, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining the integrity of the general ledger.


Your Key Responsibilities



  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements with precision and attention to detail.
  • Maintain the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger, ensuring seamless financial reporting.
  • Lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
  • Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate the annual audit process, upholding the highest standards of professionalism.
  • Monitor cash flow closely, making informed decisions to drive business growth.
  • Support Sales teams in handling large B2B contracts, fostering strong relationships and driving revenue growth.
  • Contribute to budgeting and forecasting initiatives, providing valuable insights to inform strategic decisions.

About You


To succeed in this role, you will be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with either retail industry experience or a background in practice with a retail client base. Your excellent analytical skills, combined with your ability to work effectively in a team environment, will enable you to make a meaningful contribution to our finance team.
