Commercial Director for UK and Europe

Company Overview:
Gilbert Meher is a well-established name in the Laboratory Equipment, Test and Measurement, Labware/Supplies, Material Handling & Storage space.
We are looking for a commercially savvy individual to bring direction to our team as a Commercial Leader.
About the Role:
- This is a hands-on leadership role where you will directly manage sales teams across the UK and Europe, while also playing a critical role in shaping and implementing the commercial vision.
- As Commercial Leader, you will spearhead the commercial operations for the UK and Europe, driving revenue and uniting cross-functional teams to execute a winning strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the UK & European commercial teams, including 4 direct reports in the UK sales team, 4 inside sales team members, and 4-5 European sales reps.
- Bring order and cohesion to the European operation, working closely with functional heads in to align goals and streamline operations.
- Engage directly with customers to understand their needs, handle escalated issues, and ensure their voice is at the heart of the commercial strategy.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a commercial leadership role, preferably in a PE-backed company.
- Expertise in selling into industrial, food & beverage, applied life sciences, or agriculture markets, with deep knowledge of the European market.
- Strong people leadership skills with hands-on experience – you lead from the front and set the example for your team.
Salary: £120,000 - £150,000 per annum.
