Power Converter Control & Software Engineer

Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy, S.A. is a global leader in the wind industry, and we're seeking a talented Power Converter Control & Software Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Glasgow city center office, you'll work with experienced engineers to design, develop, and implement new control systems for our large multi-megawatt wind turbines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop new control features in line with our software quality and test processes.
  • Review relevant requirements, standards, and documentation to clarify and understand engineering requirements.
  • Occasionally, complete remote site investigations and troubleshooting for our Electrical systems worldwide.
Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in power electronic converter design and control, time and/or frequency domain modelling, power electronic drives, vector current control, and Pulse Width Modulation.
  • Knowledge of real-time embedded control and implementation, software engineering, and 3-phase power systems analysis.
