Power Converter Control & Software Engineer

Job Summary

We're seeking a highly skilled Power Converter Control & Software Engineer to join our team in Glasgow. As a key member of our team, you'll work with experienced engineers to specify, implement, test, and deploy power converter control systems for our wind turbines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and implement new control features in line with our software quality and test processes.
  • Review relevant requirements, standards, and other documentation to clarify and understand the engineering requirements.
  • Occasionally complete remote site investigations and troubleshooting for our Electrical systems worldwide.
Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in electrical and electronic engineering.
  • Experience in power electronic converter design and control, time and/or frequency domain modelling, power electronic drives, vector current control, Pulse Width Modulation, 3-phase power systems analysis, and real-time embedded control and implementation.
  • Software Engineering skills.
