Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Head of Department in leading the development and management of teaching within the English department.
  • Develop and monitor schemes of work for the English department, ensuring they meet curriculum requirements and cater to the needs of all students.
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of continuous professional development and training for English teachers.
  • Liaise with colleagues to identify and coordinate pupil support and intervention strategies.
  • Assist in raising attainment for students in the English department.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Evidence of continuous professional development.
  • Ability to support staff and students in maintaining high standards.
  • Ability to assess and record the progress of students' learning.
  • Commitment to the academy's values and ethos.
